Hello Team,
We would like to understand how collaboration is expected to be achieved in Classic Control Attestations within ServiceNow GRC/IRM.
Specifically, we would like your guidance on:
* Whether Classic Attestations natively support collaborative participation (for example, multiple users contributing responses or evidence to the same attestation), or
* If collaboration is intended to be achieved only through configuration approaches such as group-based assignment.
We understand that Smart Attestation provides built-in collaborative functionality within Workspace; however, since it requires a full Operator license (To access workspace but not attestation), we are looking for a similar collaborative capability in Classic Attestation on Employee Center

There is no collab in classic attestation,
but you can open different instances of different assessments for different users.
while this will have an impact on the OOB mechanisms (e.g. Control State) and the needed customisation might be excessive, this might be a way you can try.
and "accepted solutions"This motivates others to take part, post solutions and find answers. Thanks! - Mat

Hi @Matthias Ferstl ,
Thank you for the explanation. Understood. However, creating separate assessment instances may have implications on standard platform behavior. We are therefore interested in understanding if there are any supported or recommended options to facilitate collaborative participation within a single Classic Attestation on Employee Center.

As mentioned before, there is no collab function in classic attestation oob.
In the past i noticed also problems with reassigning assessments without changing the Attestation respondents (reference list on control).
What you might try (i did not, so maybe try on a PDI first):
-Assign person a, after this person answered the part for person a, SAVE (not submit)
- reassign to person b, ...
Just make sure that the person SUBMITTING the attestation is the one, that is the respondent, mentioned on the control.
But this is wobbly, as (just as an example, but there might be a few flaws) if someone submits the attestation, there is no way to reopen it.
Again: There was no collab designed so what ever you do, it will need customization.
