Query on Policy Exception Getting Closed at 80% Duration

The policy exception has an out-of-box (OOB) flow that gets triggered when the duration reaches 80%. At that point, the exception is automatically getting closed.
May I know why it is getting closed?

A similar issue is happening with us. I am confused - by these points - 

• When the 80% threshold is reached, the flow triggers the 80% duration logic.

• As part of this logic, the flow automatically updates the Policy Exception state to “Closed.”
  
  The logic that we see is - the flow waits for the 80% duration and then creates the event, and then WAITS till the end date, and then closes the record. The important point here is it is waiting till the end date before automatically closing the record. So how are they getting closed automatically without waiting for the 80% timer?
