Hi,

 

We are planning to housekeep risk register. Currently only admin has the right to delete risk record. can risk user, risk manager or risk admin role able to delete risk record? currently we could not find delete or edit button.

Hello @cbp-consult ,

Yes only admin can delete the risk record in ServiceNow that's intentional and OOTB by ServiceNow. 

Why?
ServiceNow recommends to retire the record not delete it by risk admin or risk managers. 

Why the Delete and Edit buttons are not visible?
The Edit button visibility is controlled by the Write ACL. 
Still required? 
Create a custom ACL on the Risk register table for the delete operation, add role as risk_admin.

 

Note: Confirming with organization's data governance policy as this could lead to permanent deletion of risk records.
