Hi,
We are unable to map the "Not Applicable" response option to the Not Applicable control state when using Smart Assessments.
Currently, if I configure "Yes" as the preferred answer, the control status can only become Compliant or Non-Compliant. My assessment question contains three response options:
- Yes
- No
- Not Applicable
The Yes and No responses correctly set the control status to Compliant and Non-Compliant respectively. However, selecting Not Applicable still results in the control being marked as Non-Compliant instead of Not Applicable.
Has anyone successfully configured Smart Assessments so that a Not Applicable response sets the control status to Not Applicable? Are there any specific configuration requirements or limitations that I might be missing?
Additionally, I am trying to understand what logic is actually updating the control state. I have been tracing the execution, but it appears to be handled asynchronously and I have not been able to identify the responsible code or process. The transaction trace does not reveal the source of the update.
Any insights or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello @Marek Remi_ ,
Could you share which Smart assessment template your are utlizing to update the status of control via Smart Assessment. The setup of the functionality depends on the template.
Thanks,
