Wednesday
Hi all, first post here so bare with me

We're looking for a cleaner way to handle asset retrieval when employees are offboarded. At the moment, our HR cases kick off some IT tasks (AD disable, laptop recovery, etc etc), but the actual process of getting hardware back is still very manual: someone emails the employee a shipping label, then IT tracks it in a spreadsheet.

We're currently shopping around for the right platform/integration for a solution, but ideally we'd want something that:

1. Automatically generates a return task when a termination case is approved
2. Sends the terminated user a way to return equipment easily (best without needing to print labels)
3. Updates the case when item is received

Has anybody built this or found a marketplace app that handles asset retrieval in this or a similar way?

Anything helps, thanks!

Hey there Damon, glad you asked! I think I might have the solution for you.
We have an app on the ServiceNow marketplace that can tackle what you need. ReadyCloud's retrieval service allows you to generate a QR code to be sent to the employee, who can then take their equipment to the UPS store most convenient to them and simply drop it off after scanning. No need to print labels, no need to pay to ship an empty box, and best of all, it'll integrate into your existing ServiceNow workflow. You only have to pay when the QR code is scanned too, so you can be sure that you're only paying when it's already on the way.
Check it out here and let me know what you think!
