Create a tag and bulk assign it to multiple assignment groups

Is there a way to create tag and assign it to multiple assignment groups at once instead of having to enter each AG individually?

I believe tags are not built that way.

I had created a case with ServiceNow couple of years back to check this, and the answer was no.

That what I was thinking too.  Does anyone know what the "add tag" feature does?  Wondering if this will allow me to add multiple tags to a "main tag" and have all of those associated with the same groups and users?
