Editing a Record Producer in Catalog Builder

I inadvertently checked out a record producer when I clicked on the Edit in Catalog Builder. Now, I have a draft version that I can edit, but can't figure out how to publish it. I am editing the Record Producer on the platform and don't have a publish option. How do I either delete the draft or move my changes to published?

Hi,

So you inadvertently checked out the catalog item...but now you actually want to make edits and did? heh...

As I mentioned above, you'd proceed to the review and submit step:

After that the item is published.

Hello,

Is it in review? if so, you have to cancel the review to have it back in draft.

Otherwise, you'd "Edit in Catalog Builder", save, and then proceed to Review and submit step and click Submit. Any changes are merged and the "new" version becomes the published version.

All during this, the prior published version is still available and used.

To cancel: you'd use "Cancel Checkout".

If you can't "Edit in Catalog Builder" or "Cancel checkout" due to error...then you probably deleted the draft and caused a system issue. To resolve, please reference support article: https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0996126

Thanks, but how do I publish it.  I am working on the draft version and making changes, but don't have a publish button to move it forward like I do with article versioning.

Thanks Allen.  Once I went back into the Edit in Catalog Builder, I was able to get to the review and submit steps.  It merged my changes and published the revised record producer.
