Hi,

We have a requirement to generate documents from HR Document templates and attach it to the HR Case. Can someone please guide us on achieving this.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Mike

Thanks for your response. You confirmed what I am finding. I am trying to replace an existing HR Document Task that is part of an HR Service. The service is a 2 part process where the person signs the PDF in step one and it gets routed to our Compliance team in Step 2. When the review HR task is created the entire Compliance team can action it. They just assign the task to themselves when the action it.

I am unclear how I can accomplish this same thing using Document Templates. I was able to set up the Document Template and have the person who signs the form set up as a participant who can "Fill" the form. I can set up a specific Compliance person to "Review" the document, but what I really need is to be able to assign that "Review" to the entire Compliance Team, so that anyone available can action it. The Document Template seems to require assignment to a specific user. Is it possible to assign the "Review" action to a group of people? Is there any documentation on how to do that? (I haven't located any.)

Thanks so much for your help!

Irene

There doesn't appear to be any way to set up the Compliance team as the "Review

HI @irene_mascari The user field on the configuration for the participant is limited to an individual. The system will not allow a group entity to be selected. Options may be using delegation for the document task to meet your use case.

@irene_mascari I just did some testing using a delegate and this will not work. We cannot delegate the review tasks within the Document Task.  In the example below the Doc Task was assigned to Roger and I was logged in as Waldo. I can see the delegated task, but when I go to open it, I get the message that the task is assigned to Roger, so this delegation will not work to meet your use case. With that said, I have submitted an enhancement request (feedback record) on your behalf. Here is am image of the results I mentioned.

Hi Mike

Thanks for going above and beyond! Appreciate it.

I also tested the delegation and discovered it doesn't work for Document Tasks. (Thanks for putting in the enhancement request. We either need a delegation option or a reassign for Document Tasks.)

Unfortunately, this gap leaves us in a bad place as I am not able to replace/retire my existing HR Document Templates, but 2 of them stopped working with one of the recent Yokohama patches.
