How can I get a Moveworks Instance to integrate with ServiceNow

I’m currently exploring the integration between Moveworks and ServiceNow, and I’d like to build a small demo/Proof of Concept to better understand how the integration works in practice, but I’m missing a Moveworks environment where I can configure and test the integration.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get access to a Moveworks demo, developer, trial, or sandbox instance specifically for this purpose?

Hi @tomasfranco

Moveworks is not available in PDI. If you want to build any POC on the integration , will suggest you to do it in your Client Project's demo instance like sandbox .

Hi,

Moveworks has stated that it does not currently offer a Personal Developer Instance. Its documentation says you build in your organization’s tenant and request a sandbox instance from your Moveworks admin or account team. A Moveworks sandbox is a separate tenant that connects to your ServiceNow sub-production instance, which suits a PoC well.

To get started:

  • Ask your ServiceNow or Moveworks account team for a sandbox or demo tenant, and mention that the goal is a ServiceNow integration PoC.
  • If you work with a partner organization, ask for the Moveworks Partner Demo Guide, which walks through a demo environment using a ServiceNow Personal Developer Instance (PDI) and an identity provider such as Okta.
  • Watch for Moveworks instructor-led labs and office hours. The lab guides indicate the Moveworks tenant and the ServiceNow instance are provided by the instructor.

While you wait, you can prepare the ServiceNow side.

  • Follow the Moveworks guide “Implement on ServiceNow”. It covers installing the update sets, preparing the integration account, creating the connector, ingesting users and configuring the Bot Account and Bot Access Rule.
  • For Employee Center, install the Moveworks for Employee Center plugin (sn_ex_mw_chat_int) from the ServiceNow Store.
  • Open the Australia documentation topic “Configure bot ID and AI assistant” to set the bot ID for the Employee Center portal.

The Employee Center plugin announcement states that customers must already be licensed for both Moveworks and Employee Center. Confirm with your account team whether your demo tenant and instance cover that requirement. Install and test everything in a sub-production instance first, and keep the integration account scoped to the access the PoC needs.
