how to restrict the kb article visible to only specific assignment group in HRSD?

I have test user which only have sn_hr_core_basic role still he is able to view all the articles

That seems strange. Can that test user access the Knowledge menu items as well then?
Or only view the articles via case management?

 

Did you check your ACL's?

is there any can contribute user criteria added with basis of "sn_hr_core.basic" role in knowledge article or knowledge base level?

sn_hr_core.basic role contains "sn_hr_core.kb_writer " role which gives access to contribute articles. Check the roles which contains.

you can see who can contribute "Users with 'sn_hr_core.kb_writer' role" user criteria. 

Ah yes @Rajender1 , that might indeed be worth checking.

@Satyam123 Can you check the sn_hr_core.basic role in your instance and see if it also contains the sn_hr_core.kb_writer role? That might explain why the basic role can see all KB articles.
