Lifecycle Event Activity Notification not being triggered when using an Audience

We have an activity with a notification template attached to it. When an audience is set (We are checking for is user language is set to french, and one for when it is not), the activity is not triggered and the activity set directly jumps to finished instead of "Running Activities".

I have confirmed using the "view users" options in the audience that the user we are testing does match the criteria of the audience.

I have also tried to use generic audiences that come OOB such as "Active User" or "User has HR Profile" (the user used for testing matches both of these criteria).

When i remove the audience from the activity, the notification is triggered. Weirdly enough, this works perfectly fine on our Dev Instance but not on UAT (Exact same config that was moved using an updateset with no changes, and the same user for testing on both instances).

Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot!

Hi @saireddycon ,

It sounds like it's an environmental issue, not a config issue.
Did you verify that the HR profiles are the same on UAT as they are on DEV?

Test data can sometimes can be the root cause of these issues. So you need to make sure that the language etc is also set for the manager profiles on the UAT environment.

Hi Wessel,

Yep, i've verified that both HR Profiles match, and just for extra confirmation i had exported the exact HR Profile and sys_user record from dev -> UAT, although the issue still persists.

You're right, i am assuming this is an instance issues, raised a ticket with service-now.

hi @saireddycon ,

Can I ask if the issue was resolved?? If yes, HOW?

We also facing similar issue. It would be great if you can share us the steps to resolve this. Thanks
