I need to do integration of servicenow HRSD with microsoft 365 mainly with outlook and microsoft teams.

Purpose of this integration is to access HR self-service capabilities — including knowledge articles, HR cases, and requests — directly from Microsoft Teams and Outlook

I found that below plugins to be activated which is available but need to know if there any license required in microsoft 365 end. the integration user which will be used need license and which type of license?

Hi Buddy,

For the HR Service Delivery integration with Microsoft 365 (Teams and Outlook), there’s no special Microsoft-side integration license required.

On the Microsoft 365 side:

  • End users just need a standard Microsoft 365 license that includes Teams (for example M365 E3, E5, or Business Premium).

  • There is no separate “integration user” license required in Microsoft 365. The app runs in the context of the signed-in user and uses Azure AD SSO.

On the ServiceNow side:

  • Users still need the appropriate HRSD roles/licenses in ServiceNow to access HR knowledge, cases, and requests.

  • The Microsoft app doesn’t change ServiceNow licensing requirements.

So basically:

  • No additional Microsoft license is needed for the integration itself

  • Each user must have a Teams-enabled M365 license

  • No dedicated Microsoft service or integration account license is required

IS there any document for this integration and how to test the integration?
