Hi everyone, I’m new to ServiceNow and trying to understand where HR Service Delivery actually fits within a company.
Could someone explain in simple terms what HR Service Delivery is designed to help with and what problems it typically solves?
I’d also be interested in hearing who usually benefits from it inside a company - HR Operations, HRIT, employees, managers or other teams?
If you use HR Service Delivery in your organization, I’d really appreciate hearing what you actually use it for day to day and what value it brings.
Thanks!

ServiceNow HRSD
What it is: An IT-helpdesk-style system, but built for HR requests
Self-service portal: Employees submit requests via "Employee Center" instead of email/calls
Case Management: Requests become trackable "cases," similar to IT tickets
Routing: Cases go to the right team (payroll, benefits, recruiting, etc.)
Knowledge Base: FAQs/policies so employees can self-resolve simple questions
Lifecycle Events: Automated workflows for big moments (onboarding, offboarding, parental leave)
Cross-department integration: One event (e.g., new hire) can trigger tasks across HR, IT, Facilities
Reporting: Tracks SLAs, response times, case volumes for continuous improvement
Please Accept the solution if it assisted you with your question & Mark this response as Helpful.
