In a report in Service Now I am trying to link the fields from the case table to the Task SLA table that the report is built on. The fields within the form appear under "questions" in Service Now and I understand they are not defined as proper fields within the system.
Anyway in Service Now I can go to choose columns in the report and I can find the associated fields under questions that I want to pull through. In the choose columns box it appears to allow the columns to be selected, however when I come out of the choose columns box the chosen columns do not appear and it disappears out when I go back into the choose columns area

Report:
Then in choose columns:
Task dot walks to Questions:
Questions dot walks to the Annual Global Payround cycle request form
Then if I choose the bottom question for example of “what business area are colleague(s) aligned to for Payround”
I can move this over to the Selected fields column
Then after hitting ok if I run or save the document this field does not appear. If I go back into Choose Columns the option disappears from the selected column as though it was never selected in the first place.

task_sla is a database view and that could be the reason for this
many users in past reported same behavior
see these posts
Adding variable in Catalog Task SLA [sc_task_sla] table
Reporting on RITM Variables and Task SLA fields
Workaround: Create hidden field on that HR table and use that in reporting and use business rule to store the variable value in it
