Steps to implement HRSD

I am trying to prepare for new HRSD implementation for a customer. What would be the steps to start with including which plugins to install, configurations etc.

You could have a look at ServiceNow Success Center. Does contain a ton of information, example stories, etcetera. Reading your question though, it sounds like you are also completely new to HR (and doing an implementation, that doesn't sound good for the customer?), it might be smart to do some now learning courses, follow the official course, play around on your PDI.

The HRSD Module is Huge it has N number of features and functionalities. The implementation will be dependent on SOW and based on Clients needs. To answer your question, OOTB we have HRSD Plugin (Shown Below) which can help your kick start implementation of HRSD. (You can refer Now Create, Success center, Now Learning and Success stories to learn how its implemented...)

I would recommend to have a look at the "Architecture" and "Process Workshop" decks from NowCreate so simillar to what @Mark Roethof said. NowLearning is a great starting point!
