Your organization has chosen ServiceNow HR Delivery to be the strategic platform for employee experience. Now you need integrate it with your systems (i.e. HR, Learning, Payroll, etc.) to best support your employees.

To help with this, I’ve highlighted 4 questions to consider when understanding the importance of system integrations and what options are available.

 

How do integrations to ServiceNow HR Service Delivery enhance the employee experience?

Human Capital Management (HCM) covers an extensive number of applications that support the activities of human resources, payroll, talent management, recruiting, time and attendance, benefits, and more. Whether you support these activities with a comprehensive HCM suite (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or Workday) or with multiple vendors, it’s important to provide your employees a seamless experience during moments that matter. Having integration between ServiceNow and your HCM suite will provide your employees a single experience to make requests across HR, IT, Workplace Services, and enable them to get work done, rather than having to constantly 'swivel chair' across multiple applications.

 

What are the typical use cases for integration with HR Service Delivery?

  • Synchronizing employee profiles and other data between the HR Service Delivery and the HR management system (HRMS)/HCM
  • Giving employees access to applications they need to perform their roles through identity management providers
  • Provide employees a single to-dos list
  • Requesting pre-employment screening (background check, reference check, drug-screening)
    from third-party background check systems and receive results
  • Pre-populating HR Cases for Call Center Agents with available information by building an integration with their telephony provider
  • Electronically signing of documents during the new hire onboarding process
  • Automating other processes such as Learning (i.e. take a training course), Payroll (i.e. view payslips), and Workforce Management (i.e. make time off requests) all within ServiceNow

 

What pre-built integrations are available for the ServiceNow HR Service Delivery solution?

There are several integrations prebuilt by ServiceNow and partners available on the ServiceNow Store. When you go to the ServiceNow Store, click on the Integrations tab and then select Offer By to filter by Partners and/or ServiceNow. Then select the products under the Human Resources Service Delivery section.

Not all integrations are delivered out-of-the-box. You can contact your ServiceNow account team, work with your partner, or build your own integration using the platform’s integration capabilities which include:

  • HR Service Delivery Integrations Framework: Integrate HR Service Delivery with a third-party HR management system to synchronize employee profiles, employee to-dos, and other data between the two systems.
