Access catalog only from sp portal

I have a catalog. I'm accessing this from sp portal generally. I also mark this catalog as my favourite, so I'm accessing this from my favourite options rather than search it. But the problem is that the same OOB Favourite widget has also been user in a another portal ( custom  portal name /xyz) So when I'm in XYZ portal and open my favourite list, I can see my favourite catalog also, this is ok but if I click on the catalog from XYZ portal fevorite list, it is opening but not in sp portal, it is from /XYZ portal. I need a solution how to open this catalog only on sp portal.

You need to go with the custom solution...

Clone the Favorites / My Favorites widget, and modify its link/template to use the SP portal path (for example /sp?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=...).Replace the OOB widget in your custom portal with your modified version so those favorites links always redirect to SP... Optionally, intercept clicks via the widget’s controller: when in another portal, override the click so it navigates to the SP portal version of the catalog.....

@ANINDYA SUNDAR That is expected, it will open the catalog item on the portal you clicked it from?

Why do you want to change it? This will involve customisation, which is not recommended.
