Adding a cause code upon Incident resolution

Hello

Has anyone added cause code when resolving the Incident

client has asked to add this field. 

What would be some examples?

Hi, 'Cause code' implies a structured field and so I would use a choice list, similar to the Resolution code field.

Actual values used needs to be driven by the client, back options might be user error, power outage, network connectivity, software bug etc.

Does cause code  field is available OOB?

I have *only* seen the Cause Code within the Problem Task (PTASK) tickets.

INC focus = fix / resolve.   PRB = why / cause
