Adding Bulk Incident Acceptan Option

Hi All,

 

I was exploring the option of adding an ‘Incident Accept’ button to the dropdown. The idea is that during an outage or major issue, users can simply check the corresponding box and select the ‘Accept’ option from the dropdown for quicker handling.

 

Before proceeding further, I would like to get your feedback on this approach and check if there are any objections or business rules that might prevent implementing this feature.

If you are talking about incidents then why it would have Accept option?

Where you want this? Native or SOW?

Thanks for the response.

 

To clarify, I’m referring to the “Actions on selected rows…” dropdown in the Incident list view. I’m exploring the possibility of adding an “Accept Incident” option here, so that during major incidents or outages, we can select multiple tickets and quickly mark them as accepted.

 

My aim is to streamline the process during high‑volume situations.

 

For now, I would like to implement this in the Native view only for testing purposes, just to validate the idea and understand feasibility before considering anything broader.

 

I also want to check whether there are any business rules, UI policies, or platform constraints that would prevent adding this custom action to the list view.

Please advise if there are any objections or limitations.

Hi AromalM,

After  “Accept Incident”  for multiple incidents, what  update you expect on incident. Any field value would be change. Or once you  “Accept Incident” , any pop up you are expecting to update your comment.

After selecting “Accept Incident”, the incident state should automatically update from ‘New’ to ‘In‑Progress’. Additionally, we can implement a pop‑up notification showing the total number of incidents included in the bulk acceptance action.
