Issue with 'Assign to Active' Functionality Not Working in ServiceNow

Hello Community,

I'm encountering an issue with the 'Assign to Active' functionality in my ServiceNow instance.

 

I have edited the 'Assigned to' field dictionary by making Reference qual condition Active is true  

but  it is not working. The changes made to the field dictionary do not seem to have any effect on the functionality.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or can provide guidance on how to resolve this? Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
