I got the task of deactivating user from all the groups and removing his admin-roles from non-prod instance, but even after removing roles , his roles are still showing in non-prod instance, even though he has no group access and not active. Please assist me in this matter.

I tried this case in my PDI, and I removed all the roles and groups from the user, and it’s showing as blank now, meaning there are no roles under the user profile. Also, as you stated, if you mark it as deactivated, the user won’t be able to log in. Logically, it should not show the roles. Did you try clearing the cache and logging out, then logging back in?

Hi @akhilrao 

  • Did you remove the user from all groups?

  • After removing, please check if the user has been assigned a role directly.

  • Go to the user profile and remove all roles.

  • Log out and log back in.

Regarding your 3rd point, that's where I am having issue with. I have removed all the roles but his roles are still visible in non-prod instance. I have also removed him from all the groups and deactivated him.

Could you please provide some screenshots? Also, if you remove all roles and groups, that will make it an end user only. What’s the purpose of removing all roles? Can’t you just lock it out or set the active status to false instead?

Well I have removed him from all the groups and also his active status is showing as false. But his user roles are not getting deactivated despite this. That's my issue.
