How to enable the Edit option for the Problem Tasks related list on an Incident record in SOW?

I’m working on a requirement in Service Operations Workspace (SOW) related to the Problem Tasks related list on the Incident record. Could you please help me how to enable the edit button for the Problem Tasks related list on an Incident record in SOW. Please find the attached Screenshot.

You can check the OOTB logic, there are so many Edit button already created. I'll share link for your reference

Thank you for sharing the screenshot. Lets see; What your seeing is normal behavior in Service Operations Workspace.

In SOW, the Problem Tasks related list on an Incident is read-only by design. Unlike the Classic UI, Workspace does not support inline or bulk editing of Problem Tasks from the Incident context. This is because Problem Tasks are owned by the Problem record, and Workspace restricts editing child records from non-primary contexts.

Users can still:

  • Open a Problem Task from the list and edit it directly, or

  • Navigate to the parent Problem record and manage the tasks there

At the moment, there is OOTB way that I know to enable the Edit / Edit Selected option for this related list in SOW. The only alternatives would be adding a custom Workspace action (to open or update the task) or raising an enhancement request with ServiceNow.

So this is a Workspace limitation rather than a configuration issue on your side.

Hi @RamireddyD,

 

thanks for tagging, however I don't have chance to investigate it today..

 

Check that in the native UI whether it is the same (it should be), if not then it's problem of the WS layout..

 

And eventually check the ACL on problem_task. Is it same for all users (incl. admin)?

incident table is not directly linked with problem_task

Incidents are linked with Problem table

Why you want Edit button?
