Can we activate the High Risk OOB AI Search Indexed Sources record?

Hello,

I want to enable an AI Search Indexed Source for the HR case table. I can see there’s already an OOB record for it, but it’s inactive. Since it’s marked as high risk, I’m concerned that making changes might cause it to be skipped in future upgrades, which I want to avoid.

Can anyone confirm if I just activate this record, will it be skipped in future upgrades? If yes, then what is the purpose of this inactive record?

I also tried creating a new Indexed Source record, but the HR case table is not showing up in the “Source” field. I tried using “Insert and Stay” from the OOB record as well, but I couldn’t add child tables since they are already part of the OOB record.

What should I do here? Is it okay to go ahead and activate the OOB record?

Thanks for the references  @Tanushree Maiti. I checked them and found that we can't have multiple AI search index sources for the same table. It looks like I have to modify the OOB record and maintain it.
