How to Allow Users to Submit Documents for Processing by Document Intelligence?

I am seeking a solution to allow users to submit documents for processing by Document Intelligence. Currently, Document Intelligence is already configured to handle specific documents. However, I would like to streamline the process for users by enabling them to attach documents directly. I would like to know if there is a way to configure a record producer or another similar solution that allows users to attach documents for processing by Document Intelligence. Essentially, I am looking for a way to integrate the document submission capability of users with Document Intelligence, so that attached documents are automatically received and processed by the configured Document Intelligence system.

Hi Jo,

I see you're looking to streamline document submission for Document Intelligence. Let's break it down:

  1. Understand Current Setup:

    • Confirm how Document Intelligence is configured to handle documents.
    • Identify any existing workflows or processes.
  2. User Requirements:

    • Determine what users need in terms of document submission.
    • Clarify if users need to provide additional information along with the documents.
  3. Explore Integration Options:

    • Research if configuring a Record Producer or similar solution can meet the requirement.
    • Investigate how attachments can integrate with Document Intelligence.
  4. Configure Record Producer:

    • Set up a Record Producer in ServiceNow if suitable.
    • Design the form with fields for document attachments and necessary input.
  5. Integration with Document Intelligence:

    • Determine how to automatically forward attached documents from ServiceNow to Document Intelligence.
    • Explore automation options for submission.
  6. Testing and Validation:

    • Thoroughly test the process end-to-end.
    • Confirm documents submitted through the Record Producer are correctly processed by Document Intelligence.
  7. User Training and Support:

    • Provide users with training on the new document submission process.
    • Address any questions or concerns during implementation.
