Hello Guys,
I am looking for a approach (infact to know is it possible or not), regarding creation of auto roster.
Requirement :
1) Group of 25 Users.
2) 3 Shifts: Morning, Afternoon & Night.--with minimum 3-4 members in a particular shift
-------we have complex condition, which can be added later once we are able to create the basic rota.
3) Every member should get same number of off days for a month, with two concecutive days (Exe: sat & Sun, or Mon & Tue)
4) I should be in a position to auto-generate this schedule every month.
Thanks in advance.

1) This has got a demo of a 24x7 coverage shared between 3 shifts (EMEA, US and APAC). Similarly we can build for Morning, Afternoon and Night in one timezone (For Monday to Friday) for a 3 level Roster and the Weekend Shift with one member to provide off for the other 2.
2) Q: The 25 users are they to be shared between Shifts? As normally in a Global org a Shift will be covered by particular members in their natural timezone.
a) If yes, organise them in their natural working hours and allocate in Shift 1 - 8 members, Shift 2 - 8 members and Shift 3 - 9 Members or whatever makes sense. These members will be auto-rotated in the creation wizard.
b) If no, add all 25 members in all Shifts. In this model a precaution needs to be taken that when starting off the definition, to ensure that the same person is not on more than one shift on same day. Let's simplify this via an example for 4 member case having members A, B, C and D
Morning:
Primary Members order: A, B, C, D
Secondary Members order: B, C, D, A (Will be auto suggested by system).
Tertiary Members order: C, D, A, B (Will be auto suggested by system).
So, when you start defining Afternoon Shift, define the Primary Member list order by moving the first member in last Roster of the Morning shift to end:
Primary Members order for Afternoon Shift: D, A, B, C and so on.
3) Number of 1 members in a Shift is ensured by Roster. Create 3 Rosters - Primary, Secondary, Tertiary if you want 3 members to be available for the Shift. Use a weekly rotation or whatever is making sense.
4) Do note that after the action 1,2 and 3 your members are getting rotated equally with equal off days. After reviewing their auto schedule you could do some need based adjustments using time-offs and cover for them via coverage.
You can expand on this concept to achieve your exact requirement.
Thanks

Hi Soumya,
Thanks for the response. I think it takes some time for me to understand and implement, will do that and come back again. Till then a Quick Question, can dynamic roster generate like these group of 25 members will get equal number of week off's.
Example : for December 2019 month we have total 9 week off.
The roster should be in such a way, that from Dec1 till dec 31 every given time we should have minimum 3 member in each shift and all these member by the end of DEC should have 22 working days + 9 week off. Like these we should be able to generate the roster every month.
As you said you received the same request on Hi profile, I think we can have a call scheduled and I can supply you a sample roster that is manually created so that we can have the similar roster generated in snow.
Thanks

Hi Rahul,
I think in your case the trick will be group members by days:
eg: Shifts Monday - Wednesday for three members. Thursday - Saturday for other three members. Sunday for all members. In that way people who work on Monday to Wednesday will always have off on Thursday to Saturday. Sunday 3 of them will have on-call but other three will be off. You can adjust it to your needs by reducing the days.
Do, try these out and in case you really need a call do request our Support to facilitate the call and they should be able to organise one.
Thanks
Soumya
