Release Management Workflow Documentation?

Does anyone have a document that shows the workflow of how Release Management works?   I have not worked with Business Rules for workflows and having a visual chart diagram of how the process works would be helpful in our setup.

I have read through all of these.   Can you tell me are phase approvals automatically generated based on the Phase Group on the product assigned to the release?   I am trying to figure out what would trigger an approval for a phase or if it is manual.

Hi Stacy,

In regards to Phase approvals, this can be done either automatically or manually. see: http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Managing_a_Release_Process#gsc.tab=0

The related list of Approvals will be generated based on the Product's approval fields, or can be manually specified.

I would greatly appreciate your help with this if possible. I’m stuck  I don’t know where to start for release management I know there’s no workflow tied to it I need to know two things where can I add approval and also I need some release task automatically created I don’t know where to do that. Ant help would be apprciated
