Accidentally deleted a catalog item

Hi,

I accidentally deleted a catalog item, which I was supposed to modify, in our Development instance. The item is present in Test instance though.

Is there a possibility of copying only this item from Test to Dev?

Thanks,

Deb

Hi,

I am not sure if you can add the variables, however try to restore all the items you have deleted so far.

If this doesn't work, you can import it from your test instance.

When I export to xml in my test instance, the xml file is pretty small in content which shows that it isn't exporting the

references. Is there any other way to export the whole catalog item with its variables, policies, etc.

Thanks,

Deb

I dont think so that you can export all the items at one go.

But you can export the individual items from test and import it back.

OK. Thanks a lot for all the help. I wish there was a way to import the catalog item along with all of its references because

there are many variables, variable sets, ui policies, etc. to export individually. I found a link that provides a solution to this situation:

http://www.servicenowguru.com/system-definition/exporting-service-catalog-items-step/

It involves writing some scripts. I might take a look into it.

It will be very helpful if Service Now provides this functionality in future releases.
