Azure VM discovery License consumption

Hello Everyone,

There are some unexpected cost implications while Azure cloud discovery regarding VM machines.

Anyone faced such issues that some resources are counted as VM machines though actually they are not.

How can we avoid that . 

Any Patterns need to be deactivated? 

Any direction for this please

Hi @Nisha30 

Any inquiries regarding license costs should be directed first to the ServiceNow Account Executive.

To prevent false VM creation and save ITOM/CMDB costs, you can turn off duplicate discovery,  adjust Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules.

To avoid duplicate discovery and ensure the new patterns are the only ones populating these resources, delete the following resource type records from:
[sa_cloud_inventory_resource_whitelist] - Cloud Inventory Resource Inclusion Lists
