HI @Community Alums ,
Running servicenow service mapping without discovery will not drive any value to the business in realtime. But yes, You can just create a service map manually with no actual life to it.

Hi @Sohail Khilji customer has different source for populating CIs in cmdb_ci table but there is no relationships attached to CIs. But they wish to generate service maps so that it could help them in event management incident resolution through priority.I am not sure what should I suggest the customer as they are not ready to do service now discovery.

Hi @Community Alums ,
No, service mapping cannot be used without discovery. This is because service mapping relates the underlying infrastructure which is only possible via discovery. (Same way cloud discovery is required for storing tag information for using TAG based service mapping).
As Sohail mentioned you can try creating the map manually if discovery is not allowed.
Thanks.

Hi,
Service Mapping without ITOM Discovery? - ServiceNow Community
ServiceNow Service Mapping requires a functional discovery environment to be effective. Both ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping are used to populate the CMDB with business service components.
If you believe the solution provided has adequately addressed your query, could you please **mark it as 'Helpful'** and **'Accept it as a Solution'**? This will help other community members who might have the same question find the answer more easily.
Thank you for your consideration.
