If ci populated in cmdb ,it ill show the discovery_source right ex:servicenow,sccm
how that valueis showing  whether its servicenow,manual entry,sccm 
i want to know what exactly happens in background

Those are assigned by the data source. So, if it's ServiceNow discovery, it will always be ServiceNow. If you have service graphs like SCCM, those are assigned by the integration. And, obviously, when a user creates a record, it's manual.

Hello @guthikayala , These values are set by the incoming discovery source. The Reconciliation Engine uses them to figure out which source has the authority to update a CI (e.g., prioritizing ServiceNow Discovery over manual changes). If CMDB 360 is turned on, ServiceNow also tracks the history of which data source updated what.
