CMDB discovery is not using serial number to identify correct CIs to update in IP Firewall class

Hi All,

I have a question:

CMDB discovery is not using serial number to identify correct CIs to update in IP Firewall class. 

Can anyone suggest what should be done to resolve the issue?

Can you check the ECC input payload and try with the Identification simulator using that payload (or) without payload by submitting values within the identification simulator

Hi @GP001 ,

 

TRY BELOW STEPS:

 

1. See from the payload if you getting the serial numbers as requested. (if not then you may not be having necessary permissions to get serial numbers).

 

2. Go to CI class manager module > search for specific hireracy > IP Firewall class > identifiction rule. See if you have serial num configured on priority.

 

3. Go to ECC Queue of discovery schedule and take the input payload obtained during discovery copy the payload and paste it in the identification simulation module with discovery source as servicenow.

 

Observe what errors you get and action them accordingly. If possible share the ecc queue screeshot / error screenshot.
