The below article helps you to configure Credential-based AWS Discovery for Single AWS Account using Static Credentials.
1. Log in to AWS Console
2. Search for IAM and select the IAM Service
3. From the left navigation, select Users
4. Click Create user
5. Provide the User name according to the naming convention and click Next.
6. Select Attach policies directly and add the policy ReadOnlyAccess and click next. (Filter by typing ReadOnlyAccess and type AWS managed – job function)
7. Click Create user
8. Navigate to user created and click Create access key
9. Select Third-Party service and select the Confirmation and click Next.
10. Provide the Description tag value to describe the usage of key and select Create access key.
11. Click on Download.csv file that contains Access key and Secret access key.
12. Select the Profile Section and provide Account ID
Part B:
ServiceNow Configuration
- Navigate to All > Discovery > Credentials
2. Select AWS Credentials
3. Add the name according to the naming convention and add the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key provided by the client and save the record.
4. Next, Navigate to All > Cloud Provisioning and Governance > Service Accounts
5. Add the Name according to the naming convention, Account ID provided by the client and select the Discovery Credentials created in the above step.
6. Select Create Discovery Schedule from the related link
7. Provide the Schedule Name, and MID Server and click Next.
8. Datacenter starts getting Discoverd
9. Select the required data centers or select the toggle Discover all datacenters listed below to discover all the data centers.
10. Select the MID Server and click Next.
11. Select the Frequency and Start time and click Finish and Run to run the schedule
