My team stuck across a problem where some applications are not getting discovered by OOTB ServiceNow patterns. We tried to modify OOTB pattern with Extension section but still facing issues in finding the application. So need to customize the Identification section which is not allowed best practise.
Now we would need to create entirely new custom pattern.
1. Has anyone done this before in any requirement ?
2. Can we create new custom pattern where we add steps in any section ie. identification and extension etc.
3. Do we need to take any permission / approval / high ticket to create this custom pattern ?
Please suggest.
