Dashboard and Widget permission issue

Hi All,

I have created 2 users called test1 and test2.

Test1 is having evt_mgmt_operator role and test2 is having dashboard_admin and evt_mgmt_operator role.

I have created 1 dashboard and 1 report widget ( in that Dashboard ) under Test1 user and shared it to Test2 user. When we tried to impersonate it to Test2 , we can not view the report in that widgets and it is showing "Report visible only to a specific user or group".

Kindly let me know, whether do we need to update any role / ACL on  test1 user to  share the Dashboards and widgets to other users.

Hi,

As you have mentioned that user Test1 create one dashboard and one report widget and shared Dashboard with Test2 . In your case only dashboard is shared with Test2 user, he don't have access to the report. 

You need to share all the reports which are added on dashboard with the Test2 user. Please share the report with user, your issue will be resolved.

Thanks for your reply. 

But unfortunately, the test1 user ( owner of the dashboard and widget ) does not have permission to share his own widget to other users. 

Also we have verified the ACL for em_alert - read and it is having the correct group. which is mentioned it for test1 user. 

Note : We can give the permission to the widget from Admin user but not with the owner of the dashboard and widget.

But client wants the Dashboard and widget should be shareable via with the test1 user ( owner ).

Hi,

User need to share reports, not widgets.

They must have configured reports, those reports need to be shared with user2.

Hi Anil,

The client wants to share the widgets from that dashboard ( owner ) . They do not have any reports to share as of now.  Is there any way to do that ?
