DELL UNITY – 480F - Storage Device Discovery

Has anyone successfylly discovered a Dell Unity - 480F Storage Device.

Have created the Basic Auth credentials.  But it is not being discovered.  Raised a support ticket and support says that Dell Unity is not supported out of the Box patterns. 

Was anyone able to get a solution for this

@Vijay126 Are you looking to just discover this device? is there an IP address for this device? If yes, are you able to ping it from the Mid-server? 

First try to connect to it through Mid-server. After that, you can connect to it through mid-server using Basic Auth.

Yes we are able to ping.  Also we are able to open the login page from the mid server.  There are no firewall issue. I was able to send a request using basic auth through postman.

@Vijay126 sounds great. What exactly are the discovery logs say, when you try to do the quick discovery with the ip address + mid server? which stage it is erroring out?

You would have to create a classifier and pattern to discover it through the API. However you might see if CIM is available as another option.. Dell docs show it does support that protocol.
