Hi All!
We are trying to determine if discovery pulls in the information about Cisco Nexus Switch's Virtual Device Context (VDC)s when discovering the core or manager Switch?
Or does it only discover the switch in question?
And each switch must be discovered in turn and no relation between the devices will be created.
Thanks.

Hello BallSportsGear@Shane1,
This is a very interesting question. According to the Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Virtual Device Context Configuration Guide, you can use VDCs (Virtual Device Contexts) on Cisco NX-OS devices to split a single physical switch into multiple logical switches that isolate different functions and services. Each VDC is recorded as an independent device in the ServiceNow CMDB and can be managed by a separate administrator. Therefore, when discovering Cisco Nexus switches, you should consider both the switch in question and the VDCs if you need information about the different VDCs.
I hope this answer helps you better understand and use the concept of VDCs.

Hi @Shane1
I am not sure as I tried to found documentation but not found anything. You can try to discover the same and create the custom pattern for relationship with Cisco Nexus Switch's Virtual Device Context (VDC)
