Hi,

Please make sure if you have followed the Prerequisites:

ITOM Visibility can discover various SAP components, including SAP applications, SAP HANA Database, and SAP HANA DB Catalog. To discover these resources, you may need to update the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns application from the ServiceNow Store.

Prerequisites:

  1. Update Applications: Ensure the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns are current.
  2. Configure Credentials:
    • UNIX Servers: Configure applicative and SSH credentials.
    • Windows Servers: Configure Windows credentials.
    • Optional: Configure WinRM protocol and permissions for SOAP on RFC read table functions.
  3. SAP Digital Business Services: Configure credentials for CVERS, DBCONS, and RFCONS, and ensure the web service URL is available.

SAP HANA 2.0 DB Catalog Discovery:

  1. Verify Credentials: Ensure applicative credentials for SAP HANA DB App are configured.
  2. Check Permissions: Verify permissions for running Service Mapping commands.
  3. Query Examples: Execute SQL queries to collect schema and disk size information.

CI Relationships:

  • SAP components like SAP ERS, DI, ASCS, CI, and SCS have relationships with SAP SID.
  • SAP HANA DB Catalog is contained by SAP HANA DB.

Limitations:

  • Service Mapping supports only one ASCS instance per deployment.
  • SAP HANA DB Catalog pattern is limited to UNIX environments.

Mapping Application Services:

  1. Create an Application Service: Define and configure entry points for SAP applications.
  2. Verify Mapping: Check the application service map for accuracy and integration.

Troubleshooting:

  • Failed Discovery: Check discovery logs and patterns in Debug mode.
  • Web Service Issues: Verify web service URL and credentials, ensure MID Server accessibility, and fix network issues if needed.

Please find the Prod document below for more information, the content above has been copied from this documents:

If you believe the solution provided has adequately addressed your query, could you please **mark it as 'Helpful'** and **'Accept it as a Solution'**? This will help other community members who might have the same question find the answer more easily.

Thank you for your consideration.

Selva

We have followed this already from the ServiceNow documentation but still we can't discover them
