Here is the doc page for data collected for both. Data collected by Discovery on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

Take a look at "Standard UPS" Classification record.   The UPS Probe gets trigger when SN sees powering = trues in the classification of Standard UPS.

Have you reviewed doc site to see setup process? Discovery Or look at Use ITOM guided setup

Do you plan to take training soon? I would not recommend doing Discovery without taking any training.

So sum it up high level.

1. Install Mid Servers in network where it will have access to the target devices.

2. Get credentials that have the correct access you need per CI class. In this case you need SNMP creds.

3. Setup DIscovery Scans.
