Discovery of CIs using VPN?

Our customer is asking to check the feasibility of discovering their CIs using VPN between ServiceNow and customers data center. Is that possible?

VPN will be for connectivity to access the devices in customer data center and it will be kind of firewall between data center and ServiceNow.

you need to place your MID server in data center and make sure all prerequisite work between the devices in scope of discovery and ServiceNow.
