Discovery of Database Instances without Server

We are planning to implement discovery of the database instances but have the below question. 

Is it possible to discover the database instances without discovering the database server?

Hi @Abirami R ,

 

I believe we need to discover the database Server as well to discover to database instance, Database instances exists on database servers.
