Hi Team,
Since one week, discovery scheduled jobs have been running very slow, earlier it took 6-7 hours to complete but now it not completing in 20 hours and getting cancelled due to the max time defined.
There have been no changes to the instance since one week, not sure what will be the root cause.
Can someone provide troubleshooting steps to fix or find the root cause before contacting the vendor?
Thanks
Balaji Prusty

Hi Balaji,
There are several reasons for discover schedules running for long time. Please check the below.
1. Check the discovery log/ecc queue for any pattern is not responding or any input xml file is big in size.
1. MID server host might be having some issue - Try to restart the mid server service
2. Try to segregate the discovery schedule which is scanning more subnets
3. There could be a possibility of addition of new servers/network devices on the infra side.
Hope this helps!
