We have some "Routers" that are identified as IP switches. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and how you handle it. Ideally I would like to rediscover these devices as routers to get router interfaces and routing rules.
I hate to change the base code to fix the issue, I am wondering if someone had experienced similar issue and how you have addressed it?
Thanks for help in advance, Faisal

I did find a solution to this issue. It was actually quite simple, no code change required.
The oid/model number (Cisco 2621XM) of my router was listed as "IP Switch" and it was simple to make the adjustment.
Discovery Definition -> SNMP.
I moved the oid from Standard Network Switch to Standard Network Router which resolved the issue.
I believe Cisco 2621XMshould have listed as a Router instead of Switch out of the box because on internet they are listed as a router.
Hopefully it will help someone with similar issue:-)
Thanks, Faisal
