Discovery without RPM

Hello!
The client I'm working with, unusually, installs software on Linux Servers without RPM. Therefore, horizontal discovery isn't detecting the software installed on these endpoints.
I'd like to recommend ACC-V as an alternative in this case. But I wanted to confirm: Acc-V doesn't use RPM data, but instead uses Ruby scripts? Is this correct?

Yes, ACC uses ruby scripts (at least it did a versions back when I was working w/ACC-V). I'm confident it (ACC) has not changed the methodology since then....
