Do we need to enable IRE ?

Hi all,
Is IRE enabled by default (I assume yes)? If not, how do we enable it?
We do not use ServiceNow Discovery and the CMDB is populated through a third-party integration and a system external to ServiceNow which has IRE like rules and so we never needed to rely on ServiceNow's IRE which will change in future as we start to leverage the platform features.

Yes , IRE is enabled by default in servicenow .when ever you insert or update data into the CMDB using Service Graph connector, IntegrationHub ETL.
