Hi All,
I encountered an issue with a network device that was marked as "absent." After resolving the underlying problem preventing it from being discovered, I reran the discovery job, but the status hasn’t reverted to "install."
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is there a way to change the status back to "install" through the discovery process?
Regards,
Menashe

Have you checked that the CI was discovered as part of that discovery run? It may be that the pattern doesn't set the install status for that identified device as there are some inconsistencies.
You also have the potential of there being an inclusion rule on the CMDB class that the device is in. This could mean that a device that doesn't meet a particular condition is not considered as part of IRE logic.
If the above isn't of aid, are you able to attach some screenshots of the discovery status so we can help debug

Hi @menashe ,
I have recently came across this issue where the servers are being retired from installed status. Can you check ci deletion strategy in your instance for this network ci class.
you can access sa_ci_to_pattern_list.do to access this deletion strategy rules.
