There is a lot of interest in using Dynamic CI Mapping as a form of Service Mapping since it is easier understood and faster to implement. However, I am curious about typical use cases and value it brings. For instance, does this play well with Event Management? Can you track the services it is related to similar to when Service Mapping is used? The management of the CIs for a particular Application Service and inventory tracking is useful, but I am looking to see other value adds it may bring.
