We are performing Service Mapping on one of the Service We using, which we were able to Map on Istanbul version.
However, after we have upgraded to Kingston, we keep getting the error as below on the entry point itself:
Missing pattern-based outgoing connections from load balancer. Please check the correctness of the incoming connection
We are using the same setup with our MID Servers and other required configuration, and only thing which has changed in the Version of ServiceNow.
The Map is able to see the service running on the LB but it doesn't go anywhere from that. I have been looking for the resolution on the internet but couldn't find anything that is helpful.
We are on Kingston Patch 12.
Thanks & Regards,

They have changed the way load balancer discovery works in Service Mapping. Do a full horizontal discovery of the load balancer and see if that helps. In the newer versions it actually cuts down on the amount of direct discovery on them by using CMDB data but if you haven't run horizontal discovery on them in a few days you will need SSH access to fully discover via Service Mapping. I can't remember if this change was done in London or Kingston but take a look. Also there is a step that checks to see if the service endpoint is in operational status you will want to check that in the debug of the pattern and see what is being returned.

Thanks for your response Robert,
I would have thought so as well, and went for Horizontal discovery for the F5, and the F5s are being discovered fine. However, we are running the Maps in our PreProd environment which doesn't scan for the whole environment, if that makes any difference anymore.
I have went through the debug mode and it does gives you some information but not anything that shows that why the connection for the next hop is not being created. With the message below:
Table cmdb_ci_lb_service exists and has a single row, but this row is empty. Attribute ignored
Is there a specific step, you recon I should be checking for in the discovery logs?
Thanks & Regards,
