Failed login attempts on Nimble Storage

Hi Everyone,

 

Has anyone experienced receiving failed login attempts from discovery on their storage devices, the IP address was already excluded from the discovery schedule that runs at the same time the failed logs were created. We've checked the discovery_device_history table for any possible discovery logs but there were no records for that day and even tried checking ecc queue to see if there were any possible logs that may help but no records from that ip address. Also tried checking the schedule and the ranges to see if there's any overlap on the ip address but none was found. Any insights will be great. Thank you.

So Discovery tells you that it tried to discover a device and couldn't log in? Then that's your log, right?

Are you sure there isn't a discovery schedule that is including the IP?

And was this just a one time thing, or do you see it daily?

The storage team resource receives failed login attempts logs from their end, I've checked discovery_device_history, ecc_queue, and discovery_log tables for any possible logs/records for the storage device ip address but none is found since I excluded it. The problem is even when it was excluded from the schedule, there are still login attempts being logged from the storage side.
