Hi,
We have created business service mapping using end point URL. When we look into view map, we can see error 'Failed to recognize application' error for few of the downstream application.
The discovery log (No log data to display) is not displayed.
Please let me know if some one faced similar issue while creating service mapping.
Thanks

Hi Kumaran,
Can you post a screenshot of the map + error please? It may mean that during the host processing Service Mapping wasn't able to match any of the processes running on the application or it may mean that there are no patterns available to identify the CI properly, in which case you'll need to create a new CI type and patterns or modify an existing pattern if you can confirm what's running on that server (i.e. apache, tomcat, weblogic, etc).

with the failed application, did you get an icon representing this app? If so, when you select it, in the properties pane to the right, does it show as the CI Type generic application?

Thanks for your reply.
We have rectified the issue with the help of ServiceNow experts using HI tickets.
The issue is , our CI pattern is different as compared to OOB, so we got that issue.
Servicenow technician modified the pattern and the issue is resolved.
