Getting "No credential would validate for https://10.xxx.xxx.117/sdk" error when discovering vcenter devices

Hello All,

  • I am getting "No credential would validate for https://10.xxx.xxx.117/sdk" error while running a Quick Discovery to discover vcenter devices.
  • I tried testing credentials for VMware, but in DEV instance it gives me an authentication failed error, but runs successfully in QA with the same username and password.
  • Also, the quick discovery works fine in QA instance, but the above error appears in DEV instance.

Please suggest how to get rid of this error, without having to reinstall the mid-server.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sanket Shinde

Are you sure your MID server in dev can access it? Generally when I see inconsistencies like this it's a firewall issue in which one MID server can reach the instance and the other can't. Thanks.

Hello Robert,

Thanks for your response.

Yes, both the mid-server have similar accesses. I tried pinging the ip.

Is there any other way through which I can check if the mid-server can access it?

Kindly inform.

Hello Harshvardhan,

Thank you for your response...

Deleting the affinity was the first thing I did, but it did not resolve the issue.
